Our First Apartment

People have told us so many times that the transition from the "single life" to "married life" would be a little rough. I don't know if it's because we've known each other for years or if it's because we're both so relaxed, but getting our own home and making it our own has been the most natural thing in the world! I love coming home to my best friend and always having him to vent to after a long day at school. It's like having a sleep over with your best friend, every night!

We LOVE our entertainment system! We have the Wii with a lot of games that we got from my brother, Jason, and we have the computer hooked up to our t.v. as well. It's really nice to be doing homework on the t.v. and then switch on the Wii when you're sick of doing your homework....actually, maybe that's not such a good thing. :)

We got the Lovesac from some good friends of ours from Trevor's hometown. They didn't have the space for it, so there trash became our good fortune. I love it when that happens. :)

You would not believe how much time we spend at this table. We eat here, we do our homework here, we play games here, etc. Our chairs are starting to break because we use them so much. Trevor thinks they're wearing out because I like to stand on them. He calls it "perching", but I'm really just trying to be taller then him. :)

This is our spare bedroom. We have a spare bed for guests when they come, but we have to clear off all of our junk first. There isn't much storage in our little apartment, so this is how we cope with it. It actually isn't too cluttered and we're able to still keep the things we'll want for when we'll have more space.

There's two nooks in the bathroom!!!  One for the laundry basket and one for towels! I love nooks. Nookie nookie nooks.

If you don't know what happens in here...you should watch the Charmin commercials with the bears. They're comfortable explaining it. :)

Look at our spaceship of a microwave! Thanks Isaac and Lacey! :)
And this is where all of the cooking creations take place! Since we've been married, I've been trying new recipes. Some work out great, and others get put into the "never again" list.

We love our new place, but we know that it's only temporary. We move out in July so to go down to Las Vegas for a few months for my student teaching. Trevor's so excited to go back to his mission and to be around the people he taught for two years! I'm glad I'll have him with me. I couldn't stand being separated from him for three months and it'll be nice knowing that he's familiar with the area.

As for now, we're happy to be where we are (minus the Rexburg weather). Even though our apartment is small, we realize how blessed we really are. My parent's first started out with a card table and a water bed...yeah, we're blessed...and so very thankful.
